Dropped a 200lb boar with a 17HMR @ 100 yards. When I bought this gun the dealer said everything he could think of to try and not sell me the gun, said it was good for nothing but shooting turtles, well that boar dropped in his tracks,I hit him in the sheild to,had good penetration.Anyway I was gonna try and cape him out---man what a mess,Ifinally gave up after I was covered in greassy sh@@ from head to toe, the next day I ordered A to Z wild boar w/Rick Carter great video.

Many a boar though the shield and yes they drop like a sack of potatoes.
But I did have a friend that shot a 600 lbs in florida that the bullet .357 magnum bounced off and almost killed the guy.

Well, "Nope"

135 ft. lbs of energy at 100 yards I'm sure that boar just folded right up. You sure you didn't hit it in the ear andscramble the brains a bit?
