has anyone done appraisals on on african game?

Appraisals can have a lot of varriables to consider for pricing.
Depending on the paperwork involved, prices do vary.

You can charge a percentage, a flat fee per taxidermy mount or an overall flat fee for everything. Depending on the situation, 10% or at least $50.00 per mount.

Depends on the amount of work, I spent one time 2 weeks cataloging and appraising mounts for a museum, which includes description ,position, and quality of mount and how rare or difficult to replace,etc.
an appraisal for Court cases and insurance purposes or donations which are use for IRS puposes require all that info, I charge a minimum of $100 per item to include the paper work.

An Appraisal also requires the marketability of the item and what is the market price.
An appraisal is not just saying I think this head is worth so much.
