I am really considering going to taxidermy school, and looking to start up my own business. But first I was just wondering If a taxidermist could get a job in a taxidermy business that works a 40 hour week. i think i would rather work for someone to get more experence before i try to start a business.
P.S I live near Pittsburgh Pa so i you know of anything around that area that would be great.

in PA before you can do taxidermy. Not sure if you can work for someone before you do this. Anyone?
There are lots of taxidermy studios in the Pittsburgh area. Take the time to visit the studios and see if anyone needs help. Many studios take on at least temp help this time of year.
You do not need to take the Taxidermy Exam to work for a permitted taxidermist. You can work forever like that if you wish but you must be listed on that person's permit as an employee or apprentice.
And its a GREAT way to learn provided you pick the "right" person to work for.
