Where's Chicken Little when you need him?

The Washington Times reports that the CDC and the European health agency are both reporting that the avian flu pandemic "may have been overstated" as flocks of wild migrating birds have not shown significant ties to any epidemiology. It seems that individual cases of the disease have actually diminished over the Europeon continent. Guess there's always CJD, Mad Cow, Hoof in Mouth, Anthrax, West Nile Virus and AIDS on the sub-Saharan to keep them busy for a day or two.

I think its "foot-in-mouth" that is so contagious among the so-called great prognosticators! We can only hope that the threat to migrating wildlife is minimal.

This is how the scientific community make a living. Now one is going to give them money for good news. Even if the studies turn out good they will put a negative slant on it. Chicken Little Research is what it should be called...
