What is the advantages of joining the NTA and state taxidermist assc. if you do not compete?
Return to The Taxidermy Industry Category Menu
You will gain more knowledge of your craft. You will begin to network with many others in your field making many lifelong friends in the process. You will become part of a team that recognizes the issues that affect the industry and looks for solutions. With greater involvement and awareness, you will become a much better taxidermist. The NTA and the State Associations offer other tangeble benfits to members as well...check the NTA website and your state association. POCs for current state associations are listed on this website. I would go out on a limb and say that the vast majority of State and National members do not compete.
Joining my state association (NCTA)was 1 of the few smart things I've done. Once you start networking with the group, it's unreal the knowledge you gain.
Starting Oct 1 members will recieve a pack of ten percent coupons with your membership. The exact numbers aren't determined yet. You can save hundreds of dollars by just being an NTA member. It would be worth it, even if you don't want the Outlook or the insurance policy. Even if you don't want to work toward your "Award of Excellence" or toward Certification. You can be a part of the voice for taxidermists.
what do you have to lose?
Take your best piece and enter just once. Go to the show, take in the seminars and BS with the members. if you don't think it was worth every cent I'll eat your hat.
I am convinced I am going to give it a shot. I will hold you to it jim I do wear a 10 gallon hat dont eat breakfast.
