O.K. so this Ramussen may be over the top, uses bad judgement or says things you don't like, but why is everyone rolling over backwards to make fun if him? Does it make you feel superior or something? Seems to me this has transformed from a good laugh to bullying and ridiculing someone. And for God sakes Dr. K. If you're man enough to ridicule someone at least don't hide behind a consonant.
How old is he? Maybe he's just to young to realize his actions?

It starts to get quite and he comes back and tosses some more fuel on the fire. My advice was for the man to quit doing battle with himself, and Rasmussen fever will go away in 3 days
Are you serious about sticking up for this guy? Is he even real?Is he mentally challenged?Maybe you are right. He sure seems to get alot of airtime .Everyone should step back and let him try to make a go of it.Let him "Live the Dream".

I think this is in order. To give you a breakdown Michael is 23 year old. We all know about his site that he's plugged numerous times, and I couldn't care less, if Ken doesn't mind why should I. The first mention of his new site came on July 27th I believe. Individuals interested in taxidermy went and took a looksee, to satisfy their curiosity, some signed on as members some didn't, again who cares?
He (Michael) apparently saw some new small mammal forms on a hunting forum, and placed the sculptor on his Rasmussen site as an employee, prior to talking to the sculptor or at least prior to hiring him. Michael then removed from his employment the sculptor and made an apology to that fact which was posted on Taxidermy.net. Apparently some private emailing and advice went to Michael concerning the sculptor and Michaels lack of experience.
Then some of Michaels new members got to questioning him, and were banned from ustaxidermist Then some comments were made about what was going on over there.
That brings up to Aug 15 of which Michael posted as "Ringmaster" as a second person and from there it has taken a life of its own.
I will say that Michaels stolen deer story in the hunting forum has had 6091 hits now, as to 5019 on Aug 15. In actuality it's Michaels 15 minutes of fame, I guarantee that no other post has anywhere near that. He wrote it, nobody forced him to, and as one of the guys in the hunting forum said he could always drop hoosierhunter_06 and become somebody else. Personally I think the post(s) on the hunting forum were hilarious, then again each his own.
Here's the post(s) and all that has to be done to extinguish the fire is for Michael to quit posting. As my earlier post said in three days it will have run it's course.

Mike I don't know if I can answer this with out sounding like a smart A$$.
First I think you should stop slamming the people on taxi.net, yes their a bunch of replies that are uncalled for, but this is not the site to bring out your dirty laundry on. A lot of the people visiting this site are hear because they are tired of slamming and other B.S. on the net.
Second If you are going to run this site expect a lot of grief. Whenever you are in charge of something you are damed if you do and damed if you don"t
Third If you are going to be slamming people on this site watch your self the administer might ban you from hear.

Mr. Rasmussen is one of the cooliest guys i know why don't you guys lay off of the kid. This is the main reason kids don't want anything to do with the outdoors or this industry. Right now he's working on a movie about one of the greatest taxidermist to walk this earth and you all know who he is most have one his award if you are a world champ at this. And one thing he posts something for a laugh and he's tacked to a cross let stuff go. he started the forum as a way to get better at what he's always wanted to do he still hasn't got over his dog death and that was months ago. so back off he doesn't post when someone gripes about you guys. he was raised if you don't have something nice to say don't say it.

This site is great for information and i thank ken, the only reason i started my site was to swap idea's so everyone get's better at this right now i feel like most that post on hear have no better thing to do but make trouble for others. Like my gradparents told me if you don't have something nice to say, don't say it. On top of that people are affraid of a good idea that works or just might work.I have apologized to chris barnhardt but yet i still get slammed i wish it to stop i have not done anything to you. I couldn't even sleep last night, i've wanted to do taxidermy since i was eight. Just stop posting my private sites only two are on here and thats for a reason. I never post any bad thing about you because i don't want to hurt anyone's feelings but you all have mine.

Z he is just a good old country boy, as best that I can see. I am guessing a coon hunter/small game/deer hunter with Dom Perignon ideas on a Budweiser budget. I don't believe that he had one iota that that deer story was going to take off, nor do I believe he planned it. It just ended up that way , and as was stated in an earlier post if the kid could harness it, he could equal Corey Ford or be another Jerry Clower.
I have no dog in the fight. Just giving the kid some more and last free advice on how to smooth the waters. IF he wants it to die out, all he has to quit doing is fanning the flames, by continually posting.

The fact that folks are going to the other site with all it's shortcomings, should tell anyone with a brain something's missing here. If someone comes up with a site that keeps off the trailer trash comments, putdowns, and no name flaming cowards, and includes all the bells and whistles -- like photo posting -- I guarantee you Ken will upgrade or see a mass exodus.
