hello everyone i am a hunter from georgia i understand you not wanting non-residents to hunt in iowa. you said that the guys tresspassing where lawyers and doctors so that kind of hits the nail on the head. but not everyone out there is that way. it has took me four years to draw a tag for zone 5. the farmer that had given me permission to hunt his land has passed away and now i dont have a place to hunt but that is o.k. because i know that the money will help the residents as well as the non-residents.the people that just hunt on peoples land and dont care if they have permission or not or not really hunters and they should be turned in to the law. just dont put all non-residents in the same boat. because i am sure that you have plenty of iowa residents that do the same. there is hunters out there that will respect your land if given the chance. non-residents could play a big part in what land the dnr can buy. i grew in the country and had 8 to 10 places i could hunt just for the asking. today i don't have any of them because the old forks have passed on and the kids have sold the land. now there is houses being built and turned into sub-division. there is no rural land around to hunt and this has taken place in just the last 8 to 10 years. i understand your anger at people that have no respect for you or your land but just remember that we all are not that way. i would love the chance to be able to hunt iowa and maybe someday i will and you can rest assured that if i am given the chance to hunt on someone land i will repect the land owner as well as the land and try to make it pleasant time for everyone invovled. just had to vent a little because we all or not disrespectful thanks for your time hope guys kill the big one this year. talk to later david

likes non residents hunting in their state, let alone in "their area". but the bottom line is that they spend money (hopefully at the local taxidermist)
