Why ?

I will never understand why people come here to look for legal advice.
It would be very easy and by far the best, to simply contact the Alaska Fish And Game Dept. as well as the Game Dept. for your own state to find out the legal issues from both states as to shipping them out and to receiving them in.
This way you have it from the horse's mouth and not from hear say that could cause you untold nightmares.
Look up the phone numbers on the web, and give them a call.
Be sure to write down the date, time and name of the persons you speak with and what thier answer is.
Keep this information on file, as you may need to dig it out someday for the local warden who wants to know where the antlers came from.
When it comes to game laws, always remember to CYA.

Best wishes
Steve

In Alaska

it is illegal to sell or barter for Moose Caribou & deer Antlers if they are still attached to the Skull plate.
Like Steve said, Call Alaska Game & Fish & find out the laws from the guys that will bust you if you do something illegal.

You will find that the Alaska Fish & game guys are Very helpfull in matters such as this.
Not like here in Oregon where they cant make up there minds how the laws read.

Actually, Alaska doesn't matter

Though possibly illegal to export FROM Alaska, Tracy, your concern is closer to home. Many states require special permits and licenses to IMPORT wildlife items into their territories. This is the law you need to concern yourself with. If your friend is caught shipping them illegally in Alaska, that's an issue he'll have to deal with but Alaska, because of state sovereignty issues will not come to your state for you. Still, your state my come after you if you violate their import laws. Check with your DNR enforcement section.

Go shoot one

If you have a friend in alaska, it seems to me that it would be a whole lot more fun to go up and shoot your own moose. More expensive yes, but still a lot more fun.
