Freeze Drying and pope & Young

I had a customer shoot a huge mulie with his bow this past weekend. The buck is rumored to go around 200PY typical, and it is in full velvet. I have not seen the rack yet, it is in his freezer.

I was going to inject it, but I am considering freeze drying if I can figure out how to get it to Ohio from CO. Question is, as far as qualifying for the book, does anyone know if injecting of freeze drying would disqualify it for the book? I assume not, but I better check first.

Also, how am I going to boil off the skull plate before I ship it for freezedrying? I cannot have it sitting in a warm pot for an hour because the velvet would thaw.

Thanks.
