I'm working on a bear rug and wondering if it will look ok if I just use bondo and earliners without removing ear cartilage. Thanks for the help-Tedd

If you are using bondo and not removing the cartilage I wouldnt use the ear liner. The cartilage will help hold the shape of the ear till the bondo hardens. You may want to use a little fiberglass chop in your bondo for strength.
