Dear colleagues,
I would be very gratefull to receive your opinion on the matter of preparing a large Bottlenose Dolphin we collected recently. I haven't any experience with the skin of sea mammals, let alone dolphins, and I'am affraid that it will remain greasy no matter what I do with it. All the mounts of dolphins I saw were greasy and rather smelly, and in some the skin cracked in a most unaestethic manner....So, should I try to prepare it or not? Thank you , Milica
It might be best if you do a reproduction on this animmal. I'm sure Bill might be of some help here. You can get a hold of him at

Tried to email you, but the mail was returned, undeliverable. Can help, contact me.
Milica, I have tried to email you and cannot. I received your email and answered your questions with a text addressing each. I tried to transmit it to you and it was returned. I attempted to send via the "reply" option with your email, and it too was returned. Please send an email address that will function.
I am so sorry about this electronic problem of e-mail delivery failure, but sometimes our server sipmly refuses to co-operate, and behaves in a most frustrating manner, and for no understandable reason, of course. I have just opened an account on Yahoo, so please try sending the mail to : milicagr@yahoo.com . Once again, I'm very thankful for your help, Milica
