I got a raccoon that was recently mounted and I stuck him in a room with a bunch of other mounts for about a month and I took him out to clean him I noticed his hair was coming out and I seen some casings from some type of bug in the hair on the stomach.Could you let me know what the bugs are called and how to get rid of them because its my first coon and I hate to have to throw him out because of that fact and because hes a fourty pound blond coon. Please help!

Pretty good chance thats what you got, chances are you will need to treat the whole room, cause if you saw casings you got adults too, think small and look in your window sill and see if you got any tiny about #4 shot black bugs dead, the adults aren't whats eating your mounts its the larva, that are about 1/4 in long and fat and fuzzy.........if you can seal the room Raid has a product called the Fumigator, its not an aresol fogger, instead its a chemical that reacts with water to form a posionious gas, Winn Dixie , Kroger and Wal-Mart carries it, its in a blue box with 3 cartridges 10-12 bucks...it was developed to kill roaches but it will knock those little black *^*&^*& too, along with probably any other bugs in the house, read the instructions!
