i have got my firt porcupine to mount,how do you skin it out without
all of the quills coming out into your hands.

1st Make certain it's dead...

2. For starters these bark munchers make love face to face... so ventral cuts would be OK, I guess.
3. ware gloves!
4. Get masking tape and part fir and quills with fir comb and tape the part...
5. Where extra cloths, long sleves, and apron...
6. keep "sware" words to minimum...if all tumbs...
7. don't skin tree beaver bare footed...or in rubber boots...
8. keep the phone handy on work table, set to 911, especially if you don't clot quickly...
9. Go slow, with a (your) plan, meditate on it, do the best you can...and have fun!
10. Porcupine, is due our respect... if ever lost in the woods it is one of the only mammals in the bush humans can harvest by running to it. Good luck
