There is a coyote form in one of the taxidermy supply catalogs I want to purchase. The problem is the dimensions are too big and I cannot find the same pose anywhere else. My question is do you guys normally purchase the form and alter it, or what? Is there a old posting on this forum or other documentation on altering foam forms?
Thanks for the help!

It is a mater of subtration in many cases, hope you have the measurements from your yote. Simply cut the form down to make it fit. eye to nose, nose to back of head, between leg joints, etc. A year or so ago I did a very small artic fox, had three days in cutting the form down and mounting, but it came out very well. This years next big project will be a small Mt Lion, I ordered it without rods in the legs, first it must be cut down every where then it will be customized to the position I want it.
Yes many times we must cut them down some times we must build them up. I beleive it is the Rayline catalog that shows you just one of several ways. Good luck John
