I have the opportunity to purchace a tubed white fisher from a trapper. One foot is cut off. Problem is we don't know the value of the hide, yes, there are fewer numbers of them, but my understanding is that something different like this won't bring much if you sell them to a fur buyer. I just want to tan it to hang on the wall. Thanks.

Fisher are not worth much on the market.
I would say the pale fisher would be worth
$25 _ $30, but that is on the market here
in Canada.

If you aren't selling ..
Why don't you mount it with the cut off foot "curled up" like in to the chest fur? Or maybe reaching into a hole (such as a tree knot)? Or maybe "museum style / study skin" style, where the lack of one foot doesn't preclude it's value to science?
Any damage to the pelt like rubs of guard hair, yellowing, tail broken, bad smell, no snout, etc? What is the NTT and NTB measurement?
Sorry,don't want to sell the fisher, I want to buy it from the trapper, Seemed in good shape except the foot. Thanks for the interest though. Might use the idea of putting his foot in a stump.
