Open mouth bear?

Submitted by Dave on 1/12/02. ( schaffer4@lrbcg.com ) 65.117.121.184

I am doing my first open mouth bear and was wondering if anyone could give me a paint schedule for the inside of mouth. Watched a video and something was mentioned about paint by Mohr but don't know where to obtain this paint. Paint schedule would be helpful or at least what color to use for the purplish color of the inside of mouth. I am using a finished Mohr jaw set but need the colors to finish off around the gum area where I had to fill in. Thanks for any help.

Jonas Supply has paint schedules for most species near the back of their catalog.

.........photos as close as possible. I mix the appropriate colors untill I come up with the closest possible match to my reference photos. I use mostly lifetone paints and clear with polyethylene
clear coat. This seems to give a natural lifelike look when finished.
Starting with good reference material is the main key. Hope this helps a little.
