help with ferret (fitch)

I have a very big ferret to mount. He's lenth of 20 inches, and girth of nine inches. The research ferret form is way too small, so Id like to hear some suggestions for substitutes. Im thinking small maten or big mink. I cant really seem to find either in this size. I did come across the van hosen mink, but its not a complimenting pose for a ferret. Wich of these two are more anatomical to a ferret. Im thinking that the marten with legs shortened is my best bet. Any suggestions?

Tiffany

each has its own qualities. You need to take the necessary measurements and alter the body to fit your needs.

I did one just for grins several years ago. I made a carcass cast and fashioned a form from that. Poses where the specimen is lying down are the easiest to cast. For a walking pose, cut off the legs at the joints, pose, cast the carcass and do the legs separately. You can cast the form in foam or bondo/fiberglass. You will have to clean up the rough spots, but this will work.
