Personally, from the ones I have used,I really like the McKenzies.Seem to be strong and I prefer the detail they have. Also wondering if there is a place to get discounts for broken feet or damaged but repairable forms?

We All Have Our Own Preferences

Each supplier has something that is better for ME than the others. You will probably find that is the case with everyone you talk to. Up here in the north country the details, other than the face, are not really that important as the critters I mount are pretty well furred out. I am sure that it is far more important in the warmer climates.

As far as discounts on damaged mannikins goes, I think that occurs mostly in shipping. If a manufacture gets a bad mannikin they can break it up and throw it into a larger mold when they are making it and use up the foam. If you want a discount go to the state shows or the IGT or the NTA or World. Suppliers always have show specials and show discounts.

any supply company for their "seconds" in the form you want and they will look it up for you to see if it is available.

minimal alteration, getting old and tired!I try and order a specific form that is from a supply company closest to where said animal was harvested. It should make sense you'd think but seldom does. For our SE Pa deer I've had good luck with Research and Precisions line, presently a subsidiary of McKenzie

My choice for my area

Research fits our northern Illinois deer to a T. We have long skinny necked deer in the early season and swell to some huge corn and soybean munchers in the 24- 27 inch neck sizes. I happen to have one just like that right now that I'll have to build a couple inches up in the swell.Their mannikins fit well consistently and have the natural contours and creases . Mike Frazier did his homework !

different forms for different mounts

I have been real pleased with the Johnson /Noonkiester whitetail forms from WASCO. really dont have a preference on life size mammals just what ever fits the best for the pose I need he he guess I'm lazy to. As far as snakes go when I dont make my own form I like Gene Dobbs forms they put out some good fish blanks to. I would like to be able to say I'm loyal to one company but the truth is I use forms from several different suppliers. I do however buy most of my products such as hide paste, eyes ect. from WASCO. good sevice, prices and products.
