I've been working on a wolf skull, Boiled it and I am on my 2nd coat of magnesium carb. and 40% peroxide. My question is the canines and a couple other teeth are cracking. What causes this and how do I fix it. Would epoxy work on the cracks and then cover it with a sealer? I checked the archives and can't find anything. Thanks for any help.

First sounds like you really boiled it, this can cause cracking.
Second 40% could easily be the problem.
You will notice I almost always tell people to use the 3% store bought stuff. Well this is one reason I recommend it.
Bone is a blood by product, calcium carried through the blood aids bone growth. So the stronger the peroxide the easier a srcew up can happen. Plus the saftey factor of the weaker 3% solution. Put just a touch of the stronger stuff on your thumb nail just until you feel it tingle. Since your finger nails are a calcium base, the peroxide will quickly attact this. Once the stinging starts it will contiue to work. Soon you will almost be screaming in pain that will not go away. As it penetrates the nail and continues to eat away at the nail. This is the same thing that it does to a skull ever humidity can cause this to continue working.
I just love screaming from pain that wont go away while a chemical eats its way through my thumbnail! LOL.
I had a bear tooth necklace that began to crack and chip away. I took it to a dentist who was a friend. He used some type of epoxy material, charged me nothing, and the tooth looks great. It has held up for over 15 years.
