I am having trouble with the inner ear hair slipping,what am I doing wrong, I skin the ears after I pickle, and keep touching the hair to a minimum, but the hair still slips. What can I try to do to avoid losing hair?

Thats whats wrong, turn the ears inside out when yo slit the nose and lips. You have to get the salt into the ears when you are salting the hide.
There has been about a thouseand post inthe past three years that tell ya to turn the ears before salting.
I had the same problem until I read SalIie Dahmes Whitetail Taxidermy
System. Split the ears All the way to the tip And pack with salt inside
and out during salting. Also keep the hair side of the ears dry
between steps, I use my shop Vac to blow them off.
