Need to thaw smelly skunk and deoderize at same time.

Have road killed skunk that sprayed himself, skinned, and in my freezer in 3 plastic bags. Been there a month. Freezer reeks as well as work area even though i skinned him outdoors 60 ft. from shop. Parts have arrived and I need to thaw him and if possible deoderize him as he is thawing. Plan on using DP on skin. First skunk in 21 years of business, probably the last. HELP! Thanks, Ken

maybe the Skunk Kleen (?) will do it. I know from experience, and the freezer will still smell a year from now. I tried Malogon on my last one, in the freezer now, and put it on straight, no help. and it hadn't sprayed much. I even used about half and half of Odor-Ban, form Sam's Club. It still smelled up when I thawed out. Put on a mask and go for it! But it nearly all goes away with tanning it, if that is any comfort!
If I ever find a way I'll be sure to tell everyone.
Good luck

Wash him by hand in Woolite, seems to work wonders on clothes that have that odor to them

Put a bag of charcoal in the freezer, wait a week then put in a new bag if needed. Open the bags and dump it in. The charcoal will absorb the stink.
