ive got alot of squirrels in my freezer, and i need some room, i was wondering how long can you leave a squirrel skin in the freezer after it has been skinned? will there be any chance of hair slippage? i probably wont have them in there more than a few months. ive searched the archives, and just cant find the answer i want

should be fine

for that amount of time, but never wash blood off and put in the freezer whole I did that and I had to throw away 3 of them. The one I mounted slipped around the shot holes. I have been told to protect against freezer burn, wrap in plastic bag, try to get the air out as much as you can, and you can keep one a few years without damage!
hope this helps some! Tony

No need to worry about a few months I have just taken two squirrels out of the freezer that were in there since 1982 and skinned them out.Had to rehydrate feet and facial area took some time but all turned out well.Do not worry.Tim
