First open mouth coyote

I am currently working on my first open mouth mount. It is a coyote that I purchased from Van Dykes Taxidermy. They have an option when purchasing the OM mannikins where you can have the jawset installed by them. I took this option, but am running into problems. the from lower area has VERY LITTLE space for any type of lip skin, and the other areas around the jawset have been filled with hot glue. My question is what is the best way to glue the lip skin and how to keep the skin from completely pulling away from the jaw area. I have put the cape in the freezer to hold off and hopefully get a resolution from you guys. Your help is greatly appreciated!

"the from lower" should be front lower

I did an open-mouth deer and I just used the slow setting super glue gel. make sure you set the corner of the mouth first then only do about 2" at a time. it worked great on my deer

Lip slot

What I do on all open mouths is take a dremal tool with a lip slot cutting tool in it. It's just a small cutter they make. I think it's less than an 1/16" width. Make a slot around the whole mouth. Apply the hide paste and tuck in the skin there, pin till it dries. After it dries pull the pins out mix up your epoxy and do the mouth work. It's much easier doing it this way and you don't have to worry about the skin going all over the place in the jaw and then trying to do work on it later.

Thanks guys ...
