Need help painting badger

Submitted by Terri on 3/26/02. ( thaken@chartermi.net ) 66.188.52.180

Could someone please help me out with the paint colors for a badger? I use polytranspar laquer based paints. I have never done a badger before and can use all the help I can get on the painting. I do have some pretty good reference pictures but I'm not real good at guessing the colors.

Thanks for your help.

Terri

Hey Terri use those reference pictures of yours they tell you what colors to use. In case they are not conclusive use off black or dark brown around the eyes and off black on the nose. Same on the feet and ears (dk. brown in the ears)If you have to put color back in the stomach area go with a real light beiges/sandcolor just to blend it in. Now if that badger is for competition you may want to go a little fancier with it.If it is commercial I would go with those colors. Badgers usually don't require too much paint work. If the pose of the badger is to where the underside can't be seen you can even skip painting that area. Hope that helped.

Blending brown?

Can I use blending brown? The badger will be on all fours with an open mouth. What do I use for the mouth colors?

Thanks Evelyn
