I have been struggling with real noses for some time and I know
that many other taxidermists us repo noses! How are the majority
of them keeping the skin around the nose life like looking? I just need a good starting point for my first repo nose job! What type of appoy do you use!
Thanks Andy

Use a cast nose, but don't try to cut off the real nose skin!
Graft the nose onto your mannikin, then mount as usual.
What the replacement does is give you good interior structure
and detail, you still need the skin for nose pad texture and
the interior nasal hairs,etc.
Wrap the skin into the repro nose and feather the edge of the
skin to the nose with epoxy after everything is dry; just like
you would have without it.
