i have just been contacted about doing some lifesize mounts
a snow sheep and brn bear both from russia,dall,bighorn,
stone,blue from china,I seen them all and are dried salted
they all need custom habitats/rocks any help with prices
would be great thanks.

you figure out your time in what you do and time in habitat cant give you a figure dont know what you charge you need to make money so figure your time and cost and go from there dont do it cheap cause its time con suming i dont do it cheap its like any other job you dont make a good profit yyou dont sty in buisness goodluck Robin

not sure of the prices for this caliber work, what makes you so positive that you can do it to the level that others may? The prices charged by outstanding taxidermist like Lars and others are based on skill and experience. Taxidermy is not a commodity with a standard price. Charge what you think fair and profitable for the effort.
and really do your homework on your cost's. See what your tannery charges for a LS Brown Bear, etc. And get a real answer from the customer on what he wants for Habitat (ie: heavy oak trim, elaborate rocks, etc,) and posture of mount before any price quotes to them. They may not know that what they want is not available and you will need all day to alter a form. $3895 on LS sheep, $5000 - up on LS Brown bear.
