I was just wondering if some of you thats been in the business for a while has mounted very many white squirrels. They seem to be very rare. Ive spent a lot of time in the woods over the years and I havent came across one yet. Just was wondering. Thanks.

I just mounted one a couple of weeks ago.I have another to do but that is the first I have done in 10 years.I am in Ohio and I don't get many in.I also have a couple of black squirrels to do to.
I did one but it was a blonde one.
True albinos are very rare in nature. Usually albino animals do not survive for long because of the color. They stick out like a red flag. That's the reason you have such a hard time finding one.
The best place to find albinos are areas around cities that have a population of albino Squirrels. I have taken one and saw another along a creek that went along side a town, about 1 mile down stream on private land.
I saw one on the first day of 2002 spring gobbler about 5 miles East of Pittsburgh, Ive been in the woods for almost 20 years. Not one person I've talked to even seen one.
I have two very playfull albino squirrels in my back yard in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.
I have been trying to get some good pics, but they are making very difficult.
I fed one an M-80, it was funny! POP!
I can't believe that you would even consider mounting any kind of animal on your wall! It's not right, therefore, you shouldn't do it! I mean if they ruled the world then I'm pretty sure that they wouldn't mount you on their walls, but I guess if they knew who you were they might mount want to mount you!
There are albino squirrels on the University of Texas campus. I have not yet seen any, but I know they are here. There is also a regestered organization named the Albino Squirrel Preservation Society. There website is www.geocities.com/albino12345
There's an albino squirrel running around the apt. complex i live in.
I've seen quite a few of the albinos on the University of Texas campus. They're pretty interesting.
