I have a racoon tail that I want to get framed. Do I need to get it preserved first? If so, can anyone recommend a taxidermist near St. Charles, Missouri? Thanks!

Danielle , all you need to do is take a razor blade and cut the skin the length of the tail and remove the bone . Put borax on it . Thats all. Dont you have a telephone book , look up taxidermist if you need help .
