Im assuming your mounting the cat lifesize. I have tanned mt. lion myself with a citric acid pickle and liqua tan. I degrease before mounting. I had real good results this way, i do deer the same minus the degreasing step. I believe my method is considered a wet tan. If im just tanning for a rug i send it to a commercail tanner.
