After i got my racoon back from the tanners it seems to be longer. i made the mistak of not measuring the length. When i look in the supply book the lenght of my racoon is to long to match any in the book, to also match the eye nose meassurment. Should i just order the correct eye one and hope it fits Thanks tom hall

Tom, did you have it wet tanned, it might be bigger now after tanning and working of the hide. But, you want a lot of room with the hide on the form. Put your hide paste on and sew it up, and then as long as it is loose, it will be earsier to move around. You will be surprised at how much it dries and shrinks. You mount should stay nice and fluffy, where as if it is to small, and tight, you fight the mounting process, and then it shrinks, causeing drumming, and pulls the hair down flat. If it is only a couple of inches bigger than you measured, I would just mount it, it will work out.
