porcupine; how sticky of a situation is it to mount one?

i need help on skining a porcupine.will i have trouble with the quills?

but my answer is yes. Quills are a problem. I found it best for me to skin it fron just under the neck all the way to the end of the tail. The less bending and folding of the skin the better. You lose quills by bending or folding, at least I did. There was more sewing than I normally do, but it was worth it. Also, I have said this before, if you drop it-LET IT FALL! I tried to catch it, will never do that again.

skin the way Earl said (down the belly side to tip of tail) and while skinning REMEMBER the quills are on the hair side so keep gloved hands on skin side as much as possible. I have done a decent amount in the past and luckily get stuck very little; and then it's not that bad. Would like to remind that quills are delicate and you can NOT flesh on a beam; use the Wire Wheel! Oh, one more thing also be careful where you set the critter (skinned or unskinned) it's quills will stick to almost anything. Suggest do not lay on towels or plastic.
