Periodically the question is raised by some one regarding
anatomical correctness in regards to gender in a mounted
specimen.
Contrary to the belief of many, animals do not cover their
crotches with short pants that are held up by suspenders.
Nor do they talk in high squeaky voices while waving three
fingers.
Some one would no doubt buy a piece of art work depicting
a human male figure with out arms, but take the hooters
off a human female nude, and there ain't nobody going to
want it! My tongue-in-cheek wise crack should have got
the point across.
There is a difference between a taxidermist and a cartoonist.
I have just had another one of Franz Heepe's Fox Squirrel reference
photos put on the free down-load page of the Whitetail Designer
Systems web site:
www.whitetailsystems.com
It is a beautiful photo of an anatomically correct male fox squirrel.
