i recently sent a couple bears to the tannery and when i received my sales acknowledgement it said that all the bears were missing several claws.shocked because they all left the shop with all their claws.they did manage to find one in the box and one in the rehydrating bath.i started to wonder if i skinned them to far down the claw and they became fragile.i skinned them down to the joint behind the claw and then past that to expose the skin around the claw.im not sure what went wrong but im thinking a hard lesson learned

Must be your first couple of bears. They tannery should have told you to drill each claw and wire them all together.
If not you will loose a few.
