I am getting ready to mount a life size alaskan wolf that has been skinned more for a rug. Lots of sewing. Any pointers on which end to start with or where to separate and reattach the form? legs? Mount head first? Help.. Jon..

How you proceed depends somewhat on the pose of your form.
if it is up on all four legs(standing, walking, running)I,
personally, would sew that skin up on the bench!
Sew up the legs from the hock to the belly incision; then
pull the belly incision together and sew it up.
Now re-open the hide with a dorsal cut from back of skull
to base of tail.
On some forms you will need to remove the head, pull the hide
on the form and then insert the head into the skin; then
re-attach the head form to the body form with bondo.
Sew up the dorsal cut!
I use this method on sitting(don't you HATE them)forms,too- but usually cut the form in the abdomen area). On laying forms I leave the skin the way it is and cuss a lot!
