Fox Tail Filler

I've watched a video but was unable to determine what was used to refill the tail of the fox. I did a bobcat and used critter clay but I'm wondering what the pros use to refil the tails of fox, coyote, racoons, etc.
Thanks for any info.

Assuming you opened the tail or at least shaved down part way, you sew it up clean and tight, then roll out critter clay to a similar shape and freeze it. Then add a small amount of caulk or adhesive into the tail, slip the wire in, then slide that frozen clay into it. Itll thaw quickly and you can final shape it then. Slick, eh?

My method

I split the tail along bottom side all the way to tip. Then use clear silicone on the tail rod to re-create the bone and tissue.Silicone should be about 3/4 inch diameter at base, tapering as it reaches the tip.Wet your fingers to shape the silicone.Let dry 24 hours then sew him up!The beauty of silicone is you can bend the tail into any position you want afterwards.Good luck.
