Most foot mannikins are made for the front feet only. The rear legs are stronger and w-i-d-e-r than the front. The also have a small gland on the outside of the legs that shows up. Front feet are more delicate looking. Having said that, I'm doing a pair of rear legs right now. They came off a piebald deer and only the back legs were spackled.

Ah yes......

How to do prevent the feet from smelling

This response submitted by dan goran on 01/28/2004. ( daneiljgoran@hotmail.com ) 12.221.106.34

I am looking into making my first deer foot gun rack this year. The feet have harden up and are now ready to be mounted. However they still smell. What must I do to kill the awful smell.
