Conflicting instructions

I am putting a squirrel into a lutan f solution tonight. The instruction for lutan f tell me 12 hours but my serious sportsman taxidermy for beginners tells me 24 hours for lutan f. Also, the instruction with the tanning kit tells me that I can mount it right after oiling while the booklet tells me it must dry for 2-3 days. I understand the instructions from both sources but Im confused over which one is best (or correct) though I assume both would work as I trust each product I have purchased in this case. I was hoping to mount the squirrel tomorrow following the printed directions that came with the tanning kit. Any imput on the matter would be greatly appreciated and I would prefer to skip the debate over weather I should or should not have DPed the squirrel since this is also a lesson in tanning for me and I planned it that way. Thanks in advance.
Ron

The current recipe -if you do you're tan by water volume is,2 ounces of Lutan-F, 1 gallon water , 6 ounces of salt. You're skins are not suppose to be left in any longer than 24 hours-usually recommend taking skins out between 16-18 hours- hope this helps.
