I've got a little problem with anchoring a mounted muskrat to a base.I was being dumb and neglected to insert any wires into the mannikin before I mounted it.I thought about using two screws and going up through the base and into the feet but the foam is very flimsy and I don't wanna risk messing it up.I then thought about running one screw up through the base and into the bottom (or butt, if you will) of the muskrat. It's a competition mount (my first competition...and I don't expect to win, just doing it for experience)and I think the long muskrat hair will cover up any signs of me trying to run a screw into it.Would this process be alright?Any suggestions would be kinda nice! Thanks.

Don't give up before you try. WASCO sells a #12, 6 inch grabber screw that will work fine just as you describe. Another alternative is to bend a 10 gage wire around a socket and cut it off about 3/4 the way around the circle. Then sharpen the point and feed that point up inside the body until the wire is sticking straight down. Now anchor as usual.
