I was just wondering a good method for degreasing a coon. And how long to degrease him. And also im gonna use a dry perservative. I heard about just using some dawn and a cup full of lysol per 1 gallon. And let soak for a about an hour. will this work. Thanks alot

Yes you can degrease in dawn but I would suggest you try the newer products out there. These are made for the industry and you'll have a better chance with these products. Epo-Grip, Rittel's, Knobloch's, all carry good degreasers.
Most degeasing takes about 30 minutes but make sure you remove all the fat off the coon. Degreasers don't remove the fatty chunks that are left there by doing a bad fleshing job.
After you degrease rinse well 2-3 times throw it into the clothes drier with about 5 towels. Set the temp on air dry (NO HEAT)and tumble the hide it there. After that take it out and your ready to mount it.
PS. If you use the Lysol, there's a good chance of you having slippage. We no longer use the product. A chemical called phenol (kills bacteria) has been removed and the Ph is high in the lysol. It's an old method that is no longer recomended.
