Im about to mount my first 2 Moutain Lions and wondering if there
is anything I should be aware of before mounting? Im also wondering
should these be blown dry like a bear? I know the hair lays down but
will it look more even if blow dried? Any other tips about lions would be great?

Andy, remember those claws retract and you must skin each claw from the inside all the way to the edge. It is best to remove each of the front claws and then stitch the toes back together before mnounting. Once its mounted mist it with water and then back blow it with compressed air. Good luck .
i think highly underestimated is the a good washing in shampoo. especially on big cats ! remember those claws they are critical, and make very fine stiches , pull all the skin you can to the face area to help expression, if you get a little too much just taxi back ,but dont pull it tight,on the face and make sure you use a good amount of adhesive to make those whiskers stand out good luck, ed,,,
make sure that when you split the tail, that you use cross cuts as reference points. You will need these when you restitch it together to keep everything in line and at the same length.
For your last question...pull the whiskers prior to mounting and tanning and then glue them in position once the mount is done. This will ensure that they all face the proper direction and none get curled...take lots of close-up pictures, from several angles, before you pull them so that you can replace them correctly.
