I'm a beginning taxidermist and I have a good idea of what I am going to charge for small to medium mammals. My question is...what kind of base do you guys and gals include in your base price when quoting small to medium mammals? Does your base price include driftwood or some other type base. THANKS.

Fox, Coyote, coon and bobcats I charge $475.00 CM $585.00 Open mouth. I include a base that will hang or for table.
When it comes to a skunk, I have to remind myself "I am getting paid for this!"
the base always includes rocks, flora, driftwood, A.Water. Rubber cushions on the bottom to protect the furniture
i state right on my pricelist that "lifesize mounts are not priced to include a base" For a detailed base with homemade rocks, snow, icicles etc... i add 30% of the cost of the mount. If you want to include a base as part of the total package, be sure to price it accordingly.
Hi jim! I include a base with all my mammal mounts in the quoted price. A small mammal like mink, squirels etc. a simple knot of wood or driftwood usually suffices, but larger critters like a bobcat, coyote, fox etc. i usually build a square or rectangular hardwood base with some habitat. Be sure to charge enough for this as its all extra time involved. Glass cases on request.
I always include a basic habitat base with everything however the customer wants it. The only thing I charge extra for is, if they want something extremely large or water. Just because the resin for water is such an extra cost for me. I want my customers to know the
total price when they ask. No surprises.
