Ahh, what a mess!

Submitted by Andy on 02/28/2003. ( ) 68.72.212.111

I thought I would try putting Silicone in the squirrels feet to make them look plumper. Apparently I had a small hole in the foot and I squeezed a little too hard. The silicone squirted out and got all over the hair on the leg and the tail. How can I get this wretched stuff out?

Thanks in Advance,
Andy

Wet or dried?

Look on the caulk tube, they always recommend something.

If its wet, use lacquer thinner or mineral spirits.

I am curious too

I will be curious what people say too. I have had the same problem while using fin backing cream. Somehow holes appear where I never knew where even there. I just lightly wipe it off and leave it alone, but you can see when it dries how it effects the hair.

I allways just use some earbase.just push it down in there with a small dowel and than put your form in

critter clay and forget about it.

Wow,
Thanks for all the quick responses. I am going to use some thinner on it now and see what I can do. I am going back to clay from now on.

Pure Silicone Or Siliconized Caulk?

This response submitted by Old Fart on 02/28/2003. ( ) 64.122.57.95

If you used the pure silicone, just let it dry and it will peel right off. If it is the siliconized caulk than you will have to use the solvents.

The silicone will come right off wet or dry with acetone and a brush.
