Can you soak a squirrel cape in water and denature alcohol then rinse in water make sure it is damp dry then rub it good with 20 mule team borax to preserve the mount and last. thank you very much...

I'd wash it in water with a capful of Lysol (brown bottle) and some Dawn dishwashing liquid. You can borax it, or rub some tanning oil into it, let it soak up the oil for a couple of hours and mount it.
