DOES ANYONE HAVE A FORMULA FOR REMOVING SCENT FROM SKUNK SKINS? I'M WANTING TO MOUNT A FEW AND TAN SOME ALSO. I'VE TRIED HYDROGEN PEROXIDE, BAKING SODA, AND DETERGEANT. THEY SEEM TO CAUSE HAIR SLIP IF SOAKED TOO LONG. THANKS, BARRY

In a well ventalated area soak in plain paint thinner for about ten minutes or so. (really depends on how much "skunk" is on the skin) Swish it around in the thinner, remove and gently force out excess thinner. Let drip for 15 minutes or less and then give it a few good spins, the thinner evaporates quite quickly. Now give it a good wash in dawn, kemal4, skin prep or something similar. Remove all the water you can and then let hang to drip dry.
This works!
FATBACK, THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP. I'LL GIVE THIS A TRY. THANKS, BARRY
