I have a 20 yr old Peruvian sheep skin rug in amazingly good shape. Once it had 2 brown colors sewn into patterns within white borders. Approximately 4x5 feet. Dry cleaning 6 years ago faded the browns into nasty dirt colors. Is it possible to dye the whole rug? Don't want to rip-seams are good and there are TOO many pieces. Is this an easy goof-proof, at home method for a total novice? How should I dry it afterwards? Most importantly, will it be colorfast-don't want my carpet stained?
