have heard of bighorn sheep being pugged with wooden?plugs driven into holes by a cons. off. but folks in alaska say they dont plug dall sheep anyone know for sure they have to remove horns from cores but dont plug?

When you register the sheep after the kill they drill and pin or plug the horn with an aluminum plug that has the info numbers on it. Its done high enough on the horn and/or in a heavy enough spot so that it does not interfere with removing the horn from the core. Its also done behind and below so that it doesnt readily show.
yes thanks I know they plug them in some areas but are all sheep done this way such as dall sheep in alaska?
