Was thinking of trying to do a b-cat and coyote with artificial noses ive seen some good and some not so good, never tried them yet, the good ones have a good looking nose with a good skin to hair transition and the bad ones have a good looking nose with a bad skin to hair transition. are they tricky? what are the pros and cons?any tips or suggestions greatly appreciated

I like the pink noses you can get through certain catologs for starters. After you get your nose attached to the form make sure the edeges where the skin and nose meet get roughed up real good.
The reason being it will give you a good area for the glue to hold better.
Now when you mount the animal make sure you have the nose and the rest of the face shaved thin especially around the nose. I use super glue gel to attach the skin to the nose. It's nice to have a loose fit here. This way you can compress the skin around the nose. This helps in making the hair look real full and life-like. Now after it dries and for some reason it pull away from the nose fill those areas with epoxy and then take a brush and brush over the epoxy. This will break it up and smooth the transition from the skin to the nose. Then paint it and no one will know the difference.
