I have a customer who wants me to mount a HUGE muskrat. At first i thought no problem then I saw the thing. Then I thought there is hope yet get nutria and cut it down. So I got a nutria and it looks like to much work to cut down. Misproportioned too. Any ideas. I have a lot of numbers in my head but i think it is 17" not counting the tail. Any ideas?

Do a two or three piece cast of the carcass and use expandable foam to cast your mannequin. all the info on mold release ect ect is in the archives.

cant ya just carve the body out of blue foam, make the legs out of wire and build up, cast the head with A/B foam.(old school -the head) or you could make the body out of wood wool, twine and wire. then salvage the skull and build up with clay.
besides its not like your gona pose it in a half twist jumping to catch a pheasant
I got one for real, buy the biggest one you can find then cut in half and add an extension block, then add where it needs it in girth.
