I have a dry preservative coyote mounted that I want to open the mouth on. Is it possible to relax just the head , pull the skin back, open the mouth on form and add jaw set? I just love doing things ass backwards! Thanks, Ken

Ken, I'm of the opinion that pretty much all things are POSSIBLE but some are more trouble than they are worth considering the probable outcome. I think maybe this is one of those things but much depends on how long the coyote has been mounted and type of adhessive used as well as some other things. Anytime you attempt to redo or alter a mount after drying you must be prepared for the possibility of failure and even loss of the mount. That's the extreme but a possibility. If this dog's a new mount I would say go for it and if the results are not great put a squirrel in his mouth and take it as a learning opportunity. Enjoy, Aaron H.
Yotes are a dime a dozen! Is it a particular reason you have to work backwards on this one?
Get yourself another one and take it from there! Just my opinion!
