FISHERS

I am just a beginner and last night on the way home from work a road kill, fisher or Mink not sure. I was suprised to see this, didn't think they lived in northern ILL. and can you mount these. I looked on the dnr website and it does not mention these critters, thanks in advance.

I'd have to say it is a mink. Fishers are a more northern, and western species. With most of the population living in the western Rockys, and up through Canada. Mink are definitly around in your area.

When you skin it, if it smells like skunk wiz on a dirty sock, its a stink. I mean mink
